• PCMA will arrange a studio location for coachings that is most convenient for each chamber group

TIME

• Coachings will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for coaches and students, which usually falls on a weekend

TUITION

• Tuition (non-refundable): $620, early bird discount: $595 before Dec 25, 2023

REPERTOIRE

• 2 or more movements from a chamber music composition

COACHINGS

• Twelve 1-hour coachings
• In most cases, two different coaches (e.g. 1 string coach and 1 piano coach) will alternate coachings with the ensemble to offer students different musical and technical perspectives

• Weekend of Jan 27, Feb 3, 10, 17, 24, Mar 2, 9, 30, Apr 6, 13, 27, May 11
• Outreach performance (venue TBA): Apr 21, 2024
• Masterclass with Sungyong Lim: May 5, 2024
• Final concert @ Richmond Baptist Church: May 19, 2024

CHAMBER GROUPS ASSIGNMENT

• PCMA will begin the process of forming groups and assigning repertoire once tution is received

PREPARATION

• PCMA will provide part or score as soon as tuition is paid, and all participants in the group are confirmed
• Students are expected to bring the music to their private teacher to help them learn their part and come fully-prepared for ensemble coachings
• In the event that his/her private teacher is not available to assist with preparation, PCMA can arrange private lessons with one of the coaches; however, students are expected to reimburse the coach privately 

CERTIFICATION & ASSESSMENT

• Students will receive certificate of participation at outreach concert 
• Individual performance assessments will be given by PCMA faculty after final concert 
• Repertoire performed can be included as part of the PCMA Certification/Diploma Program requirements
