Bryan Lin began his cello playing at the age of 11 and recently finished his B. Music degree in cello performance from the University of Victoria under guidance of Professor Pamela Highbaugh Aloni, cellist from the world renowned Lafayette String Quartet. Bryan has extensive experience playing solo, chamber and orchestra music. Over the years, Bryan has participated in various orchestras such as the University of Victoria Orchestra, VSO Sinfonietta, Semiahmoo String Orchestra, Surrey Youth Orchestra and Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra. In 2018, Bryan performed as concerto soloist with the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition as a winner of their Concerto Competition. As a chamber musician, he has also been studying chamber music for the past 5 years with the Lafayette String Quartet and also attended the Quartet Fest West and Castleman Quartet Program. In 2019, his chamber group won second prize in the Friends of Chamber Music Competition.

Bryan has always had the passion of sharing his musical gifts on the cello with young students, as he began teaching students individually or group lessons during his studies in university. He was also involved in the Sooke Harmony Project Program and the PCMA Summer Camp, assisting and working with gifted young artists. Upon college graduation, Bryan has relocated back to Vancouver and continued to provide lessons in the Greater Vancouver area.
