Spring, Fall, Winter Sessions

– Promotes development of ensemble skills and chamber music repertoire year-round

  • Winter session: Jan 12 – Feb 16
  • Spring session: Apr 6 – May 12
  • Fall session: Oct 26 – Dec 1
  • Coachings will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for coaches and students
  • Venue: to take at either place at either student’s home or coach’s studio
  • Performance: YVR International Airport 
  • Participating students also receive an additional $10 discount for any others 2019 programs and a chance to participate in Masterclass Plus

PCMA Summer Camp

– Join other students to excel in our 3rd annual summer camp, a fun and inspiring environment!

  • An intensive 6-day program with coachings, workshop/group activities, masterclass, and chamber orchestra
  • Dates: July 2 – 7
  • Venue: VSO School of Music
  • Students will be learning 2 chamber works with two different ensembles during camp
  • Final gala concert: July 7, Pyatt Hall
  • Tuition: $580, Application fee: $30, Early bird discount: $15 off before May 15
  • Scholarships and bursaries available (applications must be received before June 1)

Masterclass PLUS

– Learn, watch and interact with visiting internationally renowned guest artists

  • Distinguished visiting artists to conduct guest masterclass and talk about their program with PCMA students
  • Students will attend guest artist performance (under guidance of our faculty) at the Vancouver Playhouse
  • Cost: free of charge to PCMA students except for admission to performance at the Playhouse
  • Guest artists, date, venue: TBA

Hausmusik

-PCMA offers a flexible and creative approach to adult students participation and performance
  • Weekly coaching sessions available September to June
  • Time and venue can be arranged to best suit everyone’s schedule and location (coaching could be conducted at student’s home if location is not an issue)
  • Cost: TBA
  • Performance: every 3 to 4 months, PCMA will arrange a Hausmusik, or House Music, gathering for students to mingle and share their musical passion in an intimate, casual house concert setting, which was how chamber music originated around 200 years ago
